Shanghai's Xintiandi area, known as the most fashionable place in Shanghai, is gradually presenting itself as a fashion shopping haven with the recent additions of Benetton, French Connection, Nine West, and Strawberry Fields.

A representative of Xintiandi's owner, Hong Kong Shui On Group, has said that Xintiandi had already done well enough with attracting fine eateries, and now it will focus on attracting shoppers and travelers looking for great fashion.

Shui On Group are hoping to make Xintiandi a shopping center for white-collar Chinese who live in Shanghai and who travel to Shanghai from China's other regions.
