Burgeoning demand for flight services from Asia-Pacific to Lufthansa's twin European hubs of Frankfurt and Munich has led the airline to launch eight additional flights in its Winter Timetable 2005/06, effective October 30.
Of those eight new routes, increased passenger demand has prompted the introduction of two extra flights to five weekly services between Hong Kong and Munich, complementing the daily operations between Hong Kong and Frankfurt. There will be a total of 43 flights serving the four Lufthansa China gateways of Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Lufthansa's customers in the region will also benefit from increased global connections, particularly to Eastern Europe where many Asian investors, mainly from Japan and Korea, are seeking new opportunities to participate in the booming economies.
