Beijing Capital International Airport made a commitment to the public on October 10 and pledged from that day on that prices of half of the food at the airport would be reduced to meet passengers' demand for more reasonably priced nourishment.

In particular, the airport has lowered the sky-high prices for coffee by 40%. Now, most of the coffees at the airport are sold for around 30rmb.

In particular, Chinese food has seen a big price drop. Sauteed chicken cubes with peanuts used to be priced at RMB26, but now it is only RMB8 after the price adjustment.

The airport has also promised to reduce the goods prices at the convenience stores located within some terminals.
