Starting November 1, Kempinski will manage a new waterside village resort on Hainan Island called Boao Canal Village Kempinski.

The resort is developed by SOHO, which is a large real estate development company owned by Pan Shiyi.

Located on the eastern part of Hainan Island, the 188,000 square meter terrain of the development is criss-crossed with rivers and streams.

The area has a total building space of 37,388 square meters reserved for 105 villas. Kempinski will manage 98 of these villas and the remainder will be permanent residences. The nine different villa styles have been designed by architects Rocco Yim and Seung H-Sang.

Once completed, a planned Club House will also have full conference and meeting facilities, further restaurants and a 1000 m2 spa.
