Best Western has plans to soon open in Shanghai. The hotel has authorized Shanghai-based real estate developer Shanghai Sunshine Europe City Investment Development Group to manage its brand in Shanghai.

The new hotel, a 4-star business hotel offering 200 rooms, will be built in Pudong with a total investment of more than RMB300 million. It is expected to be opened to the public in 2007.

Best Western was founded in 1946 in the United States. At present, it has more than 4100 member hotels in over 80 countries and regions across the world.
