The Leading Hotels of the World, a luxury hospitality organization representing more than 420 of the world's finest hotels, resorts and spas, has just opened a new office in Shanghai.

In the past three months, it has set up three offices in Asia, including this one in Shanghai.

At present, The Leading Hotels of the World has five members in China: Guangzhou White Swan Hotel, Grand Hotel Beijing, The Peninsula Palace Beijing, Kempinski Beijing and Okura Garden Hotel Shanghai.

A spokesman from the company has told local media that Shanghai was chosen because of the booming outgoing Chinese tourist market to other countries.
