The East China Air Service Management Department of CAAC reports that Hong Kong based airline Hong Kong Express will enter the East China market in the new flight season that starts today.

Hong Kong Express will open three routes in secondary cities surrounding Shanghai. Those lines will be a Hangzhou-Hong Kong line, Ningbo-Hong Kong line and Nanjing-Hong Kong line. They will use ERJ170 planes for those routes.

There will be three flights on each of the routes every day.

At present, there are already more than 40 flights each day flying from Hong Kong to Shanghai Pudong Airport and these new routes should ease passenger gluts.
