Local media report that the Nevada Commission On Tourism has become the first official US travel institution to be granted a license in China.
Nevada Tourism Director Bruce Bommarito says international tourists from mainland China will become the largest market of overseas travelers in the next five years.
He says his group spent six months to get approval to open offices in China.
The Nevada Commission on Tourism says Chinese tourists spend an average of US$5,200 per person in Las Vegas when they visit.
