Sichuan Airlines has assigned its newly-recruited Taiwanese pilots on their first flight mission from Chengdu to Beijing.
According to Mu Xinhong, general manager of Sichuan Airlines, the airline has employed eight pilots from Taiwan, all of whom have passed the relevant exams and licenses issued by Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Shen Zejiang, deputy director from the Southwest Management Bureau of CAAC, says that the pilot introduction of Sichuan Airlines from Taiwan has opened a window for exchanges between pilots from the two sides of the Taiwan Straits and it is conducive to improving the overall flying level of the aviation industry.
