Guangzhou Baiyun Airport has begun to put the two runways which were only available for separate landing and departure into use for both landing and departure in order to make sure the flights can take off and land on time.

From now on, planes can take off from these two runways together, however, they can not land at the same time due to space limitations.

Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is the first airport in China that constructed and put into use two runways at the same time.
