Air China says it will fully launch e-ticket sales in 2006 to help offset the high operation costs caused by increased fuel charges and paper ticketing print fees.
Since its initial e-ticket tests in July 2003, e-ticket sales has taken up 20% of the total sales revenue of Air China.
Air China has also cooperated with Shandong Airlines and Shanghai Airlines in launching an e-ticket joint transport service that allows passengers to transfer to connecting flights with a single e-ticket.
By the end of this year, Air China will also work with Cathay Pacific Airways to start joint transport service for connecting international lines.
