Guangdong Province achieved RMB188 billion from its tourism industry in 2005, accounting for 24.5% of China's total tourism revenue and ranking first in the country.

Until now, Guangdong's tourism industry has achieved an additional value of RMB79.9 billion, occupying 8.35% of the GDP of its third industry.

In 2005, Guangdong says it received 95.8 million inbound travelers, 189.7 million cross-border travelers and more than 100 million domestic travelers.

The average daily expenditure of the domestic travelers per capita increased RMB110 more than the previous year.

Meanwhile, the consumption structure of the domestic travel market was further optimized.

This year, Gungdong will launch its Country Travel program and hold the Guangdong International Travel and Culture Festival again.
