News from the Banan District Tourism Bureau in Chongqing Municipality is that a 1.14 square km hot spring themed park will be built at the Southern Hot Spring area in Chongqing.

And three new star-grade hotels–a 5-star hotel and two 3-star hotels–and four expressways will also be built there during the 11th Five-Year period in coordination with the development of the hot spring industry in the region.

According to an official from Banan District, the blueprint of the park has already been completed and construction will be commenced within this year.

The construction of those hotels is expected to be finished in 5 years.
