Sofitel Plaza Xiamen has appointed Geoffrey Weckx as the Director of Food and Beverage.

A native Belgian, Weckx came to China in 1998 as Executive Sous-Chef in the Great Wall Sheraton Hotel Beijing. Bringing the rich experiences in F and B early from 1988, Weckx has worked in Belgium, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Jordan.

Prior to this position, Weckx was the Executive Chef of Sofitel on Renmin Square Xi'an and opened 4 hotels including Sofitel, Mercure, Grand Mercure and Renmin Hotel. Weckx brings his extensive industry experience which will be an invaluable asset for Sofitel Plaza Xiamen.
