The China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) has punished four travel agencies that still owed quality deposits.

Zhuhai Huanqiu International Travel Agency, China Comfort Travel and Yangcheng Guo Lu have seen their certifications downgraded and Nanhang International Travel Service has had its license revoked.

CNTA has asked domestic travel agencies, international travel agencies and outbound travel organizers to pay RMB100,000, RMB600,00 and RMB 1 million, respectively, as deposit to compensate consumers in case the travel agency goes bankrupt.
