Starting this week, airlines in China will increase the fuel surcharge for all domestic lines.

According to the standard set by the National Development and Reform Commission and Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the fee for YQ flights goes up by RMB10-20. The fuel fee for distances below 800km is RMB30, and above 800km is RMB60.

This surcharge price will be valid from April 10 to October 10, including the May Day and National Day holidays.

It is expected that the surcharge will bring about RMB2.5 billion profit for airlines companies, and help them get through the recent depression caused by growing fuel prices.
