Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts will manage a new hotel in Guilin, scheduled to open early 2009.
Situated in the northeastern corner of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guilin is considered one of China's most beautiful and scenic destinations, claiming to have the finest mountains and rivers under heaven.
Designed by Hong Kong-based Wong and Tung International, the hotel will feature 418 guestrooms, with river views and a minimum room size of 42 square metres. Guests will be provided the full array of Shangri-La amenities, including 24-hour room service, same day laundry and valet service, satellite TV, data ports, as well as broadband and wireless internet services.
The hotel's dining and entertainment options will include a lobby lounge, coffee shop, specialty restaurant, Chinese restaurant, pool bar and entertainment centre.
Recreational facilities will include a health club, spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
