Shi Boli, Deputy Director General of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), says CAAC will enlarge its policy support and increase development for budget air services.
Shi said that the CAAC will loosen the price controls on airfares and only limit maximum ticket prices.
CAAC also plans to charge a fee from some of the airports in order to offer more options for low-budget airlines.
Shi says in order to get more budget airlines to fly to the second-tier cities, CAAC will offer them preferential policies.
