Crowne Plaza Shenzhen has recently appointed Gabriele Montevecchio as the Executive Chef.

Of Italian nationality, with over 15 years of experience in hotels and restaurants Montevecchio brings with him a good international experience from his previous postings in Italy, UK, Australia, India and China.

Montevecchio is also an award-winning chef. He was honored in different places that he worked and his very first accomplishment was being awarded the First Prize for the Best Veal Dish by Federazione Italiana Cuochi in 1987. For the same year, he received a Gold Medal for Hot Plate Menu and silver Medal for Flambe by Culinary Association of the Island of Zara in ex-Yugoslavia.

The Italian restaurant at Hotel Fortino Napoleonico where he worked in Italy was honored the Second Best Restaurant and the Italian restaurant La Piazza in the Hyatt Regency New Delhi was awarded Best Western Restaurant in India.
