Globalia Corporation, one of the biggest travel service companies in Spain, is planning to open a wholly-owned travel agency in China.

Globalia plans to concentrate on hotel rooms acquisitions and travel group organization for the Chinese market.

A representative from Globalia China disclosed that their travel agency in China might be run as a consulting company to design European trips, and then sell them to local travel agencies that are eligible to run international travel services.

As the biggest tour corporation group in Spain, Globalia owns Air Europa and Globalia Cruise and earned about EU41.39 million in profit last year.

Last year, there were only 36,000 inbound Spanish tourists and 20,000 outbound Chinese tourists between the two countries.
