Marriott has joined hands with Chengdu's Wuhou District to open a new five-star hotel in Chengdu.

Located opposite the Kempinski Hotel Chengdu, the new five-star Marriot hotel will be in a 16-storey building, which occupies 20,000 square meters of space.

Marriott Group plans to invest more than RMB100 million to refurbish it as a modern high-class hotel that can offer more than 300 rooms.

The design work related to the hotel has already been started. A representative from the construction office of Wuhou Technology and Business District says that a office buildings will be constructed in the area following the launch of new hotels, including Marriott's.
