Christophe Lajus has been appointed as the General Manager of the new Crowne Plaza Fudan Shanghai. which opened on June 12, 2006.

Lajus, a French national, began his hospitality career in 1985 in Switzerland where he studied for his Diploma in Hotel Business Administration at L'Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne. He then went on to work in Spain, Morocco, then to the Caribbean Islands including General Manger at the Cotton House on Mustique Island before returning to Cannes in his home country of France.

Lajus came to Asia in 1994 as the pre-opening General Manager at the new Banyan Tree Bintan Resort in Indonesia and completed the opening stage and established the resort on the island of Bintan. Lajus then moved to China to become General Manager of the Sichuan Huayuan Garden City Hotel in Chengdu.

He joined Intercontinental Hotels Group in October 2000 as General Manager of the Holiday Inn Tian Wuhan, and his most recent position was General Manager of the Holiday Inn Resort Yalong Bay Sanya where he had been since December 2002.
