Jia Jun, a representative from Lhasa Railway Station, has told local media that a luxury travel train will be launched from Xining to Lhasa on July 1, 2007.
The train will enable tourists to have a full view on the six scenic stations along the Qinghai-Tibet Railway. These six stations are Yuzhu Peak Station, Chuma'er River Station, Tuotuo River Station, Buqingge Station, Tanggula Mountain Station and Cuona Lake Station.
The platforms at these stations will be 500 meters long, 12 meters wide and 1.25 meters high for passengers to view the scenery around the stations.
At present, there are 45 stations currently along the Qinghai-Tibet railway.
