JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai has announced the appointment of Cristian Janz as the new Director of Services.

A Romanian national, Janz learned computer technology in Bucharest.  He began his hotel career with the Marriott group in 1992, and then he finished hotel management studies in Philadelphia and took part in related professional training in several different areas.

Prior to joining JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai, Janz was with the pre-opening team of Courtyard by Marriott Moscow and served as the Director of Rooms Operations since 2005. He had also worked as the Director of Services in the JW Marriott Bucharest Hotel for 4 years. Janz is now managing the day-to-day and long-term operations of housekeeping.  One of his goals here in Shanghai is to ensure the high quality of JW brand service, customer satisfaction and great market share.
