InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Robin J. Edwards as General Manager of Crowne Plaza Sanya.

Edwards joined InterContinental Hotels Group for the first time in 1992, and his appointment as General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Sanya marks return to the IHG fold. Edwards brings to Crowne Plaza Sanya a wealth of experience in resort operations, having worked with upscale resorts in the Middle East and Asia for over 15 years.

His experience includes the InterContinental Jeddah, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sheraton Resort & Towers in Abu Dhabi. Most recently, Edwards was General Manager of Golden Palms Hotel & Spa Bangalore, a luxury five-star resort in India.
