Guangxi Baise Airport has formally opened for both civil and military aircraft.

Located 5.5 kilometers from Tianyang County and 47 kilometers from Baise City in Guangxi, Baise Tianyang Airport was originally built in 1965 as a special airport for the air force and it was later used for both civil and military purposes.

The re-construction of the new civil and military mixed-use airport project was completed in September 2006 and put into trial operation on November 9, 2006.

Baise Airport will be operated by Baise Youjiang Airport Company and it will first handle the Baise-Guangzhou line and later add lines to Guilin, Kunming and many other surrounding cities, according to the market demand.
