Directly adjoining the existing lobby of the 375-room Hilton Beijing, the original Oriental Theater of the Oriental Arts Building complex is currently being transformed to become the Executive Tower extension of the hotel.
The nine storey building will have an additional 125 spacious Executive Plus rooms and suites, an Executive Plus Lounge on level 3, a round ballroom on the ground floor, several Hilton Meeting rooms and additional Hilton Fitness facilities. Car park facilities and support offices will be located on the one mezzanine and two basement floors.
Once the extension is completed in April 2008, the Hilton Beijing will become a 500-room five-star international deluxe hotel.
Hilton Beijing was opened in 1993 and is located in the heart of Beijing's new commercial and diplomatic district. The hotel currently boasts 375 rooms and suites as well as restaurants, bars and a fitness center. Its banquet and meeting facilities have a capacity of up to 300 people.
In addition to Beijing, Hilton International operates three other properties in China: Hilton Chongqing, Hilton Shanghai and Hilton Sanya Resort and Spa.
