Carlson has announced that the Tianhong Plaza Hotel in Beijing has been officially renamed Park Plaza Beijing Science Park from January 1, 2007.
A member of Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, the Park Plaza Beijing Science Park is part of a growing number of hotels in China to be added to the Carlson Hotels Worldwide – Asia Pacific portfolio.

Located in the northwest area of Beijing, in the heart of Zhongguancun, China's Silicon Valley, the hotel is surrounded by Beijing's universities and research institutes. One of the official hotels for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, the Park Plaza Beijing Science Park is only 10 minutes drive to the Olympic Green which features the National Stadium, National Aquatics and National Indoor Stadium.

The hotel has 16 levels, including a spectacular three storey atrium lobby with a range of restaurants and bars. The three hotel restaurants offer a selection of Chinese, Japanese and international cuisine, designed to tempt both hotel and local guests. While the Lobby Lounge and Rumours Bar provide relaxing environments to enjoy a casual drink.
