Scandinavian Airlines plans to reshuffle its business and make Beijing its business center for China.

Along with the corporate move, SAS will expand its cooperation with Air China. With these changes, passengers will be able to fly to all the main cities in China and other Asian countries conveniently from Beijing.

From March 26, 2007 when the Beijing to Stockholm non-stop line is formally launched, there will be 10 flights between Beijing and northern Europe each week, of which six are from Beijing to Copenhagen and four are from Beijing to Stockholm. From September 2007, SAS will further increase its capacity and flights.

As part of the business adjustment, SAS will stop the Shanghai-Copenhagen line from April 8 and make all passengers transfer from Beijing.

Lars Lindgren, CEO of SAS, says they wish is to make Beijing a hub for SAS in China, but SAS's Shanghai office will continue providing ticket booking to local clients.
