Airbus has released its estimated figures of airplane use for the China market for the coming 20 years.

Airbus says that the Chinese mainland will need more than 3000 passenger planes and cargo planes in the next 20 years, including 2050 smaller planes, 600 double-channel planes, over 200 medium-sized double-channel planes and 1180 super large jets. Airbus estimates that China will need 2650 passenger planes from 2006 to 2025, which will be worth about US$289 billion in total.

Airbus says China's cargo flight business in the coming 20 years will increase by six fold, the domestic cargo flight business will increase by 10.9% annually, and international cargo flight business will grow by 8.9% annually.

In addition, Airbus estimates that the global market will need 21900 new planes and the global passenger traffic will increase by 2.5 times in the next two decades.
