Singapore Airlines And US Airways Announce Codeshare

From June 1, 2007, Singapore Airlines' customers will be able to enjoy seamless travel between Singapore and three cities in the United States, thanks to a new codeshare agreement between Singapore Airlines and US Airways.

With this new collaboration, Singapore Airlines' customers travelling to Las Vegas and Phoenix can do so conveniently, by connecting via Los Angeles or San Francisco, Singapore Airlines' West Coast gateways, on US Airways services. Customers heading to Charlotte, the largest city in North Carolina, can catch a connecting US Airways flight from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Conversely, US Airways' customers travelling to Singapore will be able to connect on Singapore Airlines services from Los Angeles and San Francisco. From the Singapore hub, US Airways' customers can also easily connect onto codeshare flights operated by Singapore Airlines to popular destinations in the Asia Pacific (Perth, Ho Chi Minh City, Bali, Jakarta and Banda Seri Begawan). US Airways will also codeshare on Singapore Airlines services to European gateways of Amsterdam, Zurich and Manchester.

"This partnership will bring convenience and benefits to customers of both Star Alliance airlines, providing them with a link between Singapore and more US cities. This is a testament to the growing relationship between Singapore Airlines and US Airways, our Star Alliance partner, " said Huang Cheng Eng, Singapore Airlines' executive vice president, marketing and the regions.
