A representative from Langham Hotels International has told local media that the heralded British luxury hotel brand Langham Hotels will soon come to mainland China.

China's stable economic growth and the coming 2008 Olympic Games has stimulated the fast growth of the nation's hotel industry and Langham, as one of the oldest luxury hotels in Europe, doesn't want to miss the great opportunities in China, the representative said. The location of this first mainland Langham hotel has not been disclosed.

Opened in 1865, the first Langham Hotel is located in downtown London and the Langham Hotels name has come to represent elegance in design and genuine service. Langham currently has six hotels around the world in places such as Hong Kong, Boston and Auckland.
