Henan Provincial Tourism Department says that it will assess and rate travel agencies in the province according to their performance.

According to the Henan Provincial Travel Agency Industry Review and Assessment Standard, travel agencies in Henan will be classified into four categories of A, B, C, and D based on their basic condition, management, operation level, operation performance, advertisement program, service quality and safety, as well as the annual inspection result from tourists' complaints.

Travel agencies that score over 150 points will be given an A grade; scores between 80 and 149 marks will be rated as B grade; scores 50-79 as C grade; and scores less than 50 marks as D grade. D grade travel agencies will be asked to rectify with a given timeline and their annual inspection will be delayed. They will then have their business license revoked if they fail to make acceptable changes.
