Beat Klarer has been appointed general manager of the Intercontinental Shenyang and Holiday Inn City Center Shenyang.

Klarer has more than twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry with a wealth of work in the Chinese market. He has held senior management positions with Accor and Movenpick in Asia and the Middle East. He was the general manager of Windsor Plaza Hotel, Vietnam, a 405-room five star hotel where he successfully increased ARR by 30% in 2006.

Klarer holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Tourism and Hospitality from SSH Swiss School of Hotel and Tourism Management, Chur, Switzerland. He speaks fluent English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Latin.
