Three new executives have joined Shangri-la Hotel, Qingdao.
Bernhard Wimmer is the new resident manager at the hotel. A German with more than 16 years of hotel management experience with Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts and Ritz Cartlton group, he was previously the resident manager of Shangri-la Hotel Beijing where he was responsible for hotel operations and played an instrumental role in the opening of the expansion tower.
Gael Moureau is the new executive chef. A native of France, and having worked also in Michelin star restaurants in France in the early part of his career, his last appointment as the executive chef of Shangri-La Hotel Beijing where one of his greatest achievement was to lead a team to serve over 13000 guests as the official caterer for the China Open Tennis Tournament.
Simon Soo joins the hotel as an executive assistant manager for rooms, responsible for the daily operations of front office, housekeeping and guest services. A Malaysian who has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resort since 1989 working in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Dubai, his last posting was in Shangri-La Hotel, Shenzhen as director of rooms.
