Tourism professionals from East China region gathered in Quzhou, Zhejiang Province on September 11 to witness the opening of the 4th East China Tourism Fair.

Hosted by China Tourism Association, Zhejiang Provincial Tourism Administration and Quzhou Municipal Government with the help of the tourism associations from the East China provinces and cities, the event attracted the participation of more than 400 tourism departments and tourism enterprises from 18 provinces and cities across China, including more than 200 travel agencies and more than 100 travel merchandise providers who had come to promote their products.

According to the organizer of the event, many changes are taking place in East China's tourism market and the travelers' interests have shifted from urban travel to landscape travel, from sightseeing to leisure and holiday, therefore, the promotion on the travel product has shifted from the promotion of a single scenic spot to a joint promotion of several scenic spots.

Zhao Jinyong, director of Zhejiang Provincial Tourism Administration, said that East China Tourism Fair has become an influential exhibition for regional tourism cooperation in China and it provides an opportunity for the tourism industry of the region to cooperate with each other.
