Marriott International has expanded its portfolio in China with the official opening of the 341-room Renaissance Shanghai Yuyuan Hotel under a management agreement with Shanghai Yuyuan Hotel Development Co., Ltd. Attending the grand opening festivities, J.W. Marriott Jr., chairman and chief executive officer of Marriott International, joined other dignitaries for the special occasion.
