The Qingdao Sailing Sub-committee under BOCOG has officially named six hotels in Qingdao as Olympic signed hotels for 2008 Olympic Sailing Regatta and issued plaques to them.

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad has 120 Olympic signed hotels in Beijing, and 12 in other areas, of which six are in Qingdao. These six hotels in Qingdao are Shangri-La Hotel, Qingdao; Crowne Plaza Qingdao; Hotel Equatorial Qingdao; Haiqing Hotel Qingdao; Huanhai Gloria Inn Qingdao; and Post & Telecom Hotel.

During the periods of two test events for the 2008 Olympic Sailing Regatta held in 2006 and 2007, these 6 hotels welcomed more than 2,000 guests including athletes, media, and foreign guests. According to a survey conducted after the events, many guests gave good comments on these hotels.
