A new five-star standard hotel project has started construction in Wuhu.

It is invested and built by Anhui Anxing Jiecheng Real Estate Development Company Limited, and is expected to be the first five-star hotel in Yijiang District, Wuhu. The project covers about 51,000 square meters of construction area and is divided into two phases. The first phase comprises RMB500 million investment and will provide 300 standard guestrooms and some supporting facilities according to five-star standards. It is scheduled to open by the end of 2009 and is positioned as a complex of travel, dining, leisure, entertainment, and business facilities.

This hotel project is one part of a comprehensive real estate project called Central City. According to local media, Central City is a 1.3 million-square-meter international community, located at the core area of Wuhu University City, near Wuhu Olympic Park. The Central City consists of residence areas, an international convention and exhibition center, a five-star hotel, office buildings and business facilities. Among them, the Wuhu Convention & Exhibition Centre has already been opened.
