Sunrider Enters China's Hotel Sector

Located on Wangfujing Street, the four-star Tianlun Song He Hotel owned by Sunrider Inetrnational recently re-opened after a renovation.

Chen Defu, president of Sunrider International, told local media that Beijing Tianlun Dynasty Hotel, which is being re-decorated now, will also open in May. The two hotels were acquired by Sunrider for more than RMB1 billion in 2006.

As an international direct marketing company, Sunrider's main business still focuses on cosmetics and health products. However, Sunrider sees the good prospects of China's hotel industry and has been taking great effort to develop its hotel business. It now has three hotels in China.

In Sunrider's development project, the hotel industry will also become a mainstay industry, along with cosmetics and health products. Taking the two Beijing hotels as its center, Sunrider will develop its hotel business in other cities and provinces. By means of acquisition and self-building, the company will set up a hotel chain in the coming months.

Sunrider International's headquarters is in Torrance, California. Its main products are self-developed cosmetics and health products. Its business covers about 40 countries and regions around the world. Since its entry into China in 1993, Sunrider has opened more than 7,000 chain stores in China. At present, it has two production bases in Guangzhou and Tianjin and another base, which is in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, will formally start production in June.
