Singapore Airlines Expands Codeshare Agreement With Malaysia Airlines

Singapore Airlines' codeshare arrangement with Malaysia Airlines will be expanded to include all services between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

Both airlines currently codeshare on each other's services to Penang. In addition, Singapore Airlines, Silkair and Malaysia Airlines operate three-way codeshare services on flights between Singapore and Langkawi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.

Like other codeshare arrangements, this one will require both airlines to independently determine their own fares for flights between the two cities, but provide customers with more schedule choice, with 13 daily flights in each direction.

For customers traveling between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, the codeshare arrangements will provide a full choice of frequencies operated by both Singapore Airlines and Malaysia Airlines and, for most fare types, interchangeable tickets mean the ability to access those frequencies, irrespective of the operating airline.
