Two New Ibis Added To Brand's Growing Hotel Network In China

Accor's economy brand Ibis continues its rapid expansion in China with the opening of two new Ibis hotels in two popular travel destinations near Shanghai: Ibis Changshu and Ibis Hangzhou.

Besides the two new Ibis, a further 50 Ibis hotels are either under construction or in advanced stages of planning so far. 13 more Ibis hotels will be opening in 2008, 26 Ibis will be opening in 2009, and 7 Ibis will be opening in 2010. The Ibis network establish a major presence in both gateway cities — such as Beijing and Shanghai — and key provincial cities, including Suzhou, Harbin, Guangzhou and Dalian by the end of the year.

The 190-room Ibis Changshu boasts an envious location in the prosperous commercial center of Changshu and is near Fangta Street. It is only an hour's drive away from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, and 90 minutes away from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.

Ibis Hangzhou Xiasha is located at the centre of Economic & Technology Development Zone in Hangzhou. This 11th Ibis in China is equipped with 203 double rooms as well as a restaurant, a lobby bar and a small meeting room.
