Iwan Dietschi has been appointed general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Shenzhen.

A Swiss citizen, Dietschi was formerly in the capacity of hotel manager at the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong. He joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 1995 in Washington DC. During his 12-year tenure with the company he held various management positions around the world, spanning from the U.S. to Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. He was also part of the hotel task force opening teams in San Juan, Berlin, Wolfsburg, Doha, Jakarta, Beijing and Guangzhou.

Fluent in English, German and French, Dietschi graduated from the Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland and holds a Commercial Diploma from the School of Commerce in Baden, Switzerland.
