Spring Airlines Opens First Route From Shanghai To Urumqi

Spring Airlines has opened its first route from Shanghai to Urumqi and the company has become the 32nd airline to settle in Xinjiang's aviation market.

On the new route, Spring Airlines will provide consistent no-frill services and a lower price air ticket. At present, Spring Airlines owns eight Airbus aircraft, and is based in Shanghai. It has opened routes to more than 30 domestic cities. Of these the route from Shanghai to Urumqi is the longest in flight distance.

Xinjiang is the province with the largest number of regional airports and existing routes. There are currently 13 operated airports with a total of 155 routes. Prior to Spring Airlines arrival, 31 domestic and international airlines had entered Xinjiang's high potential aviation market.
