Xinjiang Adds Three New 4A Grade Tourist Attractions

After assessment by the National Tourist Area Quality Grade Evaluation Commission, Xinjiang has added three new 4A grade tourist attractions, making a total of 12 around the autonomous region.

The additional three 4A grade tourist attractions are: the Kumutage Desert Scenic Area located in Shanshan of Tulufan, which claims to be the nearest desert to the city; the Museum of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region located in downtown Urumqi, which is the first cultural relic attraction to acquire a 4A grade in Xinjiang; the Dushi Traveling Vacationland of Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture located in the north of Changji City, which covers an area of 1,800 mu and has eight function areas including entertainment and sports facilities.

Now, Xinjiang has a total of 12 4A grade tourist attractions and the other nine include the Aitiga Folk Cultural Tourism Area in Kashi; the Xibo Folk Custom Park in Chabuchar Xibo Nationality Autonomous County; the Kuche Royal Palace; the Guizi Lvzhou Ecopark in Kuzhe; the Jinshatan Tourism Area in Heshuo; the Laojun Temple in Urumqi; and the Guaishiyu Scenic Spot in the 5th Agricultural Division. In addition, there are three 5A grade tourist attractions in Xinjiang: the Tianchi, the Kanasi Integrated Nature Landscape Protect Region, and Tulufan Grape Valley.
