Hong Kong Express Airways Opens New Route Between Shanghai And Hong Kong

Hong Kong Express Airways has launched a new route between Shanghai and Hong Kong starting from June 11, 2008.

With this additional service, the company has expanded its flight network to Shanghai; previously it had two destinations – Ningbo and Hangzhou in eastern China. The new service is operated using Boeing 737-800 passenger aircraft with 164 seats. There is one round-trip daily flight on the route. The flight from Hong Kong arrives at Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 15:15; and the return flight departs from Shanghai at 16:15, arriving at Hong Kong at about 19:00.

Shanghai Pudong International Airport now has a total of around 70 flights a day between Shanghai and Hong Kong. These are operated by five airlines – Shanghai Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Dragonair, Cathay Pacific Airways, and Hong Kong Express Airways. Hong Kong Express Airways conducts all of its flight services in the new Terminal 2 building at Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
