Hunan To Add Nine Five-star Hotels By 2010

News from the Hunan Provincial Tourism Work Meeting is that Hunan will add nine new five-star hotels over next two years, including two in Changsha.

At present, there are a total of eight hotels with five-star qualifications around Changsha. Yuan Xinhua, director of Hunan Provincial Tourism Bureau said that nine new five-star hotels include Sheraton Changsha Hotel, Mingcheng International Hotel, and Wulingyuan International Resort, which have passed the initial five-star qualification assessment of Hunan Provincial Star-grade Hotel Assessment Commission.

In addition, Loudi introduced into a five-star standard hotel under the brand of Barony Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, scheduled to be completed by 2010; and in Jishou, a project of Gloria International Hotels built to five-star standard is under construction.

Another four five-star hotels are in Yiyang. Wang Liwen, director of the Yiyang Municipal Tourism Bureau said that these four hotels are: Yiyang International Hotel, which has had a soft opening; Yiyang Huatian Hotel, scheduled to be soft opened by the end of 2008; Shuidiaogetou Hotel, to be established by 2009; Fortune Lake Golf Resort, scheduled for completion by 2009.
