Accor recently announced the reopening of the Grand Mercure Xidan Beijing, which is spearheading the brand's expansion in China.

"We are very excited to present Grand Mercure Xidan as the latest Accor hotel in Beijing to consolidate the group's strong presence in the city. The reopening of the Grand Mercure hotel plays an important role in the first wave of brand's aggressive expansion in Beijing," said Laurent Chaudet, general manager of Grand Mercure Xidan Beijing. "After all the renovation and refurbishment, we are confident that the hotel will perfectly meet both domestic and international consumers' considerable interest."

Located in the central district of Beijing, Grand Mercure Xidan is in walking distance of Tiananmen Square and the Xidan Shopping District. It is also close to the National Theatre, Financial Street, and major bank headquarters.

After comprehensive preparations and over four months of work, the hotel has completed an extensive multi-million-yuan renovation of the China Kitchen Chinese restaurant, the V9 all day dining restaurant, Le Bar lobby lounge, the executive lounge, and the 69 rooms on the executive floor. In addition, all the hotel's public areas including the business center, the tour desk, and the kiosk have been refurbished.
