SriLankan Airlines Issues Online Boarding Pass At Beijing Airport

SriLankan Airlines has launched an online check-in facility in Beijing and passengers no longer need to queue up to check-in.

Passengers from Beijing can choose their own seat on the aircraft, through the system with a corresponding reduction in the time spent in the check-in area.

Online check-in opens 24 hours before a flight and continues up to two hours before the scheduled departure time. One person can even check-in groups of passengers, if the required information and reference numbers are available. A passenger needs to visit SriLankan's website to check in online.

Passengers proceed direct to the baggage drop counter, where their bags will be weighed. Any excess baggage matters will be handled at that time. At present, passengers who require special care such as infants and wheelchair passengers will continue to be handled by SriLankan staff, and not through the online system.

SriLankan operates three flights from Beijing to Bangkok and Colombo, connecting passengers to its global network of 41 destinations in 22 countries.
