Tata Group Signs-up Seven-star Hotel In Hainan

According to the Hainan Development and Reform Commission, construction of a new seven-star standard hotel has commenced in Xiangshui Bay, Lingshui, Hainan.

The hotel is invested in by China Enterprise International Investment Company, and will be managed by Indian Hotels, a subsidiary of India-based Tata Group. It is reported that this hotel will be designed by the American firm WATG. The project has a planned investment of more than CNY1.5 billion and covers a construction area of 75,000 square meters. It will have 500 guestrooms with sea views, and over 30 villas with swimming pools and spa facilities.

Currently, Indian Hotels operates and manages more than 100 five-star and luxury hotels around the world.

Liu Longjiang, chairman of China Enterprise International Investment Company, said that the company plans to cooperate further with Tata Group in developing the Hainan real estate market, especially tourism real estate projects.
